EXODUS 15
THE SONG OF MOSES + MIRIAM
Moses and the Israelites sing to God, praising Him for His provision in the Red Sea. This is the first recorded song of worship in scripture. Miriam, the sister of Moses who saw him floating down the Nile, leads the women with tambourines and dancing in praise to God.
The Israelites travel for three days and do not have any water. God provides water by giving Moses instructions to turn the bitter water into sweet, drinkable water using a log.
God promises the Israelites that if they follow Him, they will not experience the illnesses that the Egyptians suffered from.
